Synqin Terms of Service

Version 2026-09-24

TR

1. Parties and scope

These terms govern the relationship between İbrahim Kasapoğlu, the operator of Synqin, based in İstanbul, Türkiye, hello@synqin.com, and the person using the service. Synqin is the service name. If you accept for an organisation, you must have authority to bind it; that organisation is then the contracting party.

The service enables content/file storage, transfer and sharing between devices and selected recipients through available applications and web interfaces. Features depend on your plan and supported platform. The Privacy Notice explains data processing. Accepting these terms does not give consent to optional processing or marketing.

We make these terms available before account creation or the relevant transaction.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 16 to use Synqin. If you have not reached the age of majority in your country, you may use it with a parent or legal representative’s permission and supervision as required by local law. This does not permit children under 16 to use Synqin under parental supervision. You may not use the service where prohibited by law. Store content ratings do not replace these requirements. These provisions do not exclude our mandatory obligations concerning children and their personal data.

Keep account information accurate and current. Do not impersonate others or obtain unauthorised account/device access. Take reasonable care of devices, email access, sessions and recovery tools. Report suspected compromise to security@synqin.com. These duties do not transfer responsibility for our own security failures to you.

3. Encryption and recovery

Synqin content flows use encryption on the device; the service server does not acquire the private keys needed to decrypt content through the normal flow. Losing authorised devices and recovery tools may permanently prevent access to content. Restoring email access or authentication does not automatically restore encryption keys.

Security measures are not an absolute security guarantee. Content encryption does not make all account and transaction data anonymous. Keep independent copies suitable for your needs. This recommendation does not remove mandatory consumer rights or our obligation to provide a conforming service.

You are responsible for precautions within your control concerning lost decryption keys or recovery tools, sharing with the wrong recipient, disclosure of access links and copies retained by recipients. We do not guarantee that we can decrypt content for you, recreate lost keys or restore deleted or expired content. Do not use Synqin as the only copy of your files. Loss caused by your device, internet connection or recipient conduct outside our control is not our responsibility unless attributable to our breach or fault.

4. Sharing, storage and deletion

Space: Content is stored under the applicable plan/account rules; its behaviour differs from a time-limited Transfer.

Free use and plan expiry: Free is not a promise of indefinite storage. Its initial use period runs from account creation; returning from a paid plan does not restart that period. The offered plan identifies its use period and data-recovery window. On expiry, new file uploads and new Transfers may be restricted; downloads, deletion and account management remain available during the recovery window. A recovery window following loss of paid entitlement is calculated separately. If no qualifying paid plan is held when the notified recovery window ends, Space content may be removed. This does not itself delete the account; existing Transfers follow their own expiry times. Expiry of free use does not start a paid subscription without a separate purchase authorisation.

Transfer: Access is limited by the duration and conditions specified for the transaction. QR transfers and public links are time-limited. The QR recipient’s claim window and subsequent access period may differ. Check the duration and starting event shown in the interface.

You choose recipients, memberships and sharing settings. Anyone holding the full sharing link or required access tools may access content within the selected limits. Posting a link publicly can expand access. We cannot retrieve content already downloaded, copied or recorded by recipients; a one-download restriction is not absolute copy protection.

Deleting a post, expiry of a share and closing an account are different operations. Background physical deletion and legally required preservation are explained in the Privacy Notice. Content deletion does not itself cancel an account or subscription with the purchase provider.

We disclose plan limits, retention periods, over-quota consequences and any remedy period before the relevant action or purchase. We do not arbitrarily and retroactively reduce previously selected access periods or purchased entitlements.

Exceeding the storage allowance is separate from expiry of free use. During the correction period disclosed for your plan, you can download files and delete unnecessary content or choose a suitable plan. If the excess continues after that period, Space content may be removed under the disclosed conditions. Storage allowance and Transfer limits are separate.

5. Content ownership and limited permission

You or the relevant rights holder retain ownership of content. You do not transfer ownership to Synqin. You grant a non-exclusive permission limited to hosting, technically reproducing, moving and delivering encrypted content to your selected recipients as needed to provide the service you request. It may be extended only to necessary service providers for the same purposes and protections, and lasts only for necessary processing and valid retention.

This permission grants no right to sell content, use it for advertising or train AI models with it. A technical transmission permission is not a substitute for a personal-data processing legal basis. Recipients’ independent reuse remains subject to rights-holder permission and law.

You must have the authority needed to upload, share and give access to your content. When processing other people’s data, fulfil your own notice, authority and other duties. Encryption does not make unlawful content or a data transfer lawful.

You are responsible for the lawfulness of the content you upload, store and share and your selection of recipients. You undertake that you hold the ownership, licence, permission or other legal authority needed and that your use does not infringe intellectual property, privacy, data protection or other third-party rights. Encryption or technical acceptance of content does not mean that Synqin approves it, verifies its legality or assumes responsibility for it.

Synqin is not a party to representations users make about shared content or to their agreements with one another. Providing storage or transmission alone does not create an agency, partnership or guarantee for that content. Content passing through the service does not mean we guarantee the sender’s identity, accuracy, freedom from malware or fitness for a particular purpose. Responsibilities placed on users do not alter Synqin’s responsibility for its own acts, fault or statutory duties.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the service for child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, unlawful threats/harassment, terrorism offences, infringement of rights or sharing stolen personal data. Malware, phishing, fraud, unsolicited bulk communications, unauthorised access, bypassing security/quotas or disrupting the service are prohibited. Do not knowingly abuse reporting or complaint channels with misleading submissions.

Lawful research, interoperability and open-source licence rights remain protected. Comply with third-party rights and applicable export/sanctions rules. Technical availability in a country does not guarantee that every use or sale is lawful there.

The list is not exhaustive: no content or use that violates applicable law, facilitates an offence or infringes another person’s rights is permitted. This includes blackmail, identity theft, unauthorised disclosure of personal data, human trafficking, unlawful weapons/drug trafficking, laundering proceeds of crime, unlawful incitement to violence or crime, forgery and attempts to defeat judicial or administrative orders. Legally protected criticism, complaints and reporting are not violations merely because they concern Synqin.

You must not use the service to evade legal prohibitions, sanctions or access restrictions, circumvent an account enforcement decision through replacement accounts, or use unauthorised automation, stolen payment instruments or deceptive identities. Sensitive personal data or confidential information may be processed only where the necessary legal conditions, permissions and safeguards are met; encryption does not replace them.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, Synqin is not offered as a sector-certified archive, statutory records-retention service, emergency system or essential component of a system whose failure could directly cause death or serious bodily injury. You must not assume such suitability.

7. Reports and access decisions

Report suspected unlawful content or rights infringement through hello@synqin.com. You can report without an account. Identify the precise post location or identifier, explain why you consider it unlawful, provide contact details for a response, and confirm your good-faith belief that the information is accurate and complete. Name and email are requested except for child-sexual-abuse reports for which applicable law does not require them. Additional information is requested only as needed to address deficiencies. Do not send decryption keys, recovery codes or copies of unlawful content.

We do not promise general scanning of decrypted E2EE content. Assessments may use accessible transaction records, security signals, reports and valid competent-authority requests. We may restrict a specific link/post or account where necessary. Measures must be proportionate to the risk and infringement. Unless prohibited by law or prejudicial to security, we provide reasons and applicable challenge routes.

If you believe a decision is incorrect, contact hello@synqin.com with the decision/post identifier and your reasons. Where legally permitted, the notice of a restriction explains its scope, any duration, basis and available remedies. Review requests do not remove access to courts or competent authorities. Where contact details are available, reporters receive an appropriate acknowledgement and decision notice. A report does not automatically cause removal.

Where there are credible indications of a violation, a concrete security risk or a binding legal demand, we may stop affected uploads, disable sharing links, restrict access to content or temporarily suspend an account while investigating. Serious or repeated violations may lead to termination. We may act before notifying you if advance notice would worsen the violation, jeopardise evidence or be unlawful; mandatory duties to provide reasons and remedies remain unaffected. We respond to competent-authority demands only as legally required and with data actually accessible to us. We do not promise an ability to decrypt content for which we do not hold keys.

For a review, we may request limited explanations or evidence of authority that you lawfully hold and that are necessary to assess the matter. We do not request decryption keys or copies of unlawful content. If necessary information is not provided, a proportionate access restriction may remain until the specific risk is addressed; this does not by itself amount to an admission that you committed an offence. Erasure of relevant records subject to a preservation decision is considered separately from disabling sharing.

8. Prices, renewals and cancellation

Before purchase, the offer identifies the price, total payable including applicable taxes, currency, billing period, automatic-renewal status, trial end and cancellation method. These terms alone do not order a paid service that your transaction does not specify.

Availability of plans and purchase options may vary by country, store and platform; only an offer presented to you can be purchased. Paid mobile subscriptions are offered through Apple App Store on iOS and Google Play on Android. The seller and transaction details appear at checkout and in the purchase record; the relevant channel’s payment terms also apply. Access to the web or desktop application does not mean that purchases are available on that platform.

If automatic renewal is selected, stop renewal through the purchase channel’s subscription management. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Account deletion and stopping renewal are separate; complete the purchase-channel process before losing account access. The mobile app’s subscription management button redirects to the store’s management screen. Use the Apple or Google account used for the purchase. You can also manage subscriptions through Apple subscription management or Google Play subscription management. Complete cancellation there; pressing the button alone does not cancel it. Complete the process before the deadline shown by that provider to prevent renewal.

Stopping renewal does not itself end the plan benefits for the current period you have paid for. For a monthly subscription, those benefits continue until the end of the paid monthly period, without renewal for a new period. Paid benefits then expire and the applicable Free-plan, quota and data-recovery rules in section 4 apply. Statutory withdrawal/termination, refunds and justified access restrictions are considered separately.

Price changes do not apply to previous periods. We provide advance notice of a future-renewal change and the cancellation option, and obtain separate acceptance where required by law or the store.

Where Turkish law requires a request or approval after formation to extend a fixed-term consumer subscription, accepting these terms at the initial purchase is not by itself that approval. A billing period is distinct from whether the contract is fixed-term or indefinite; the contract duration is disclosed before purchase.

9. Consumer rights, withdrawal and refunds

Non-waivable rights where you live, including Türkiye and the EU/EEA, remain protected. Withdrawal, termination, non-conforming-service and refund rights do not depend solely on a payment provider’s discretion. We offer no additional voluntary withdrawal period or money-back guarantee beyond statutory rights. Merely stopping renewal or not using the service does not entitle you to a full or proportional refund for the paid period unless required by law or the applicable terms of the purchase channel.

Before purchase, we explain the applicable 14-day withdrawal right for distance service contracts and its exceptions according to the transaction and local law. Digital-content exceptions do not automatically apply to an ongoing file-storage subscription. Where starting performance during the withdrawal period requires a separate request, notice or acknowledgement about loss of rights, these must be obtained separately; accepting general terms does not replace them. Lawful proportional charges and refund calculations remain applicable.

For Turkish consumer subscriptions that are indefinite or fixed for at least one year, applicable law permits termination without giving a reason or paying a penalty. Statutory rights for shorter fixed terms following contractual changes or valid reasons preventing use remain unaffected. Statutory termination cannot be limited to stopping the next renewal; applicable termination dates and unused-period refunds govern.

Contact hello@synqin.com. You may send a clear statement of your decision to withdraw; you may use the optional notice below. If your purchase record identifies another seller, also contact that seller. Your statutory remedies remain available.

10. Business use

A Data Processing Agreement applies where we process personal data on an organisation’s instructions. It must address processing subject/duration, data and subject categories, instructions, confidentiality/security, subprocessors, rights/breach assistance, audit and return/deletion. These terms alone are not a completed DPA or international-transfer agreement.

Authorised workspace participants can perform membership/sharing actions within product permissions. An organisation administrator must not be assumed to have automatic access to all encrypted data.

11. Changes and ending service

We may make changes for security, law, technical needs or service development. Material changes adversely affecting a purchased service remain subject to applicable advance-notice, termination and refund rights. We provide required notices in a durable medium.

Specific security risks, unlawful use or material breach may justify proportionate restrictions. Except in emergencies or where legally prohibited, we provide notice and an appropriate opportunity to remedy. If the service permanently closes, we provide a lawful and feasible opportunity to retrieve data and respect mandatory rights concerning unused fees.

Events outside a party’s reasonable control that could not be prevented despite appropriate care are assessed only in relation to the obligations and period they actually prevent. Synqin takes reasonable mitigation and service-restoration measures and provides notices where legally and practically possible. An ordinary provider outage or cyberattack does not automatically excuse our own security or service failures. Mandatory termination and unused-fee refund rights remain protected.

12. Responsibility and software licence

We must provide the service with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with this agreement and mandatory law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing excludes intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death/personal injury or other liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or mandatory consumer rights.

Allocation of risk: We do not assume loss caused by acts of a user or independent third party not attributable to us, lost recovery tools or the user’s failure to act within previously disclosed deadlines. We do not exclude fault within our own provider selection, security duties or service obligations merely by calling it a third-party failure. Unless a separate service-level agreement applies, no specific uptime percentage, uninterrupted access or zero-data-loss guarantee is given.

Only for customers acting for business/professional purposes who are not consumers in the relevant transaction: To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect loss, lost profits or revenue, lost business opportunities and reputational loss. For paid services, our aggregate contractual liability arising from the same event or connected events is limited to service fees you actually paid for the affected Synqin service during the twelve months before the event first causing loss. This calculation does not create a zero-liability cap for free use. These limits do not apply so as to render the contract’s essential service legally meaningless, and do not apply where the relevant law prohibits them.

Business customers’ indemnity for third-party claims against Synqin: Where a business customer’s culpable unlawful content/use or culpable breach of its content-authority undertaking causes a third-party claim against us, we may recover, to the extent legally permitted, finally awarded damages, amounts paid under a settlement approved by the customer in writing, and reasonable necessary defence costs attributable to that breach. We give timely notice, allow reasonable participation in the defence and mitigate loss. No admission or settlement binding the customer is made without its written approval, which must not be unreasonably withheld. We do not shift the part caused by our own fault to the customer. This special indemnity does not apply to consumers. We retain any statutory claim or right of recourse for loss caused by a user’s culpable unlawful conduct, including where the user is a consumer; this does not create strict liability or automatically shift all penalties and expenses to the user.

Exceptions to every limitation: This section does not exclude intentional misconduct or gross negligence, liability for death/personal injury that cannot lawfully be limited, mandatory consumer rights, non-waivable data protection rights or other liability that law prohibits limiting. It does not create immunity binding public authorities or non-parties.

You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the application within your plan and these terms. Software and brand rights remain with their owners. Open-source components retain their own licences. Non-waivable reverse-engineering/interoperability rights are preserved.

Apple App Store users: If you downloaded Synqin through Apple’s App Store, your use of the Synqin application is also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These Synqin service terms are not a custom EULA replacing the Standard EULA. The Standard EULA applies within its own scope; these terms additionally govern your use of the Synqin service. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

13. Disputes, language and revisions

The operator is based in Türkiye. Applicable law is determined by the relevant conflict-of-laws rules and mandatory provisions; these terms impose neither an exclusive court nor mandatory arbitration. A law/court selection cannot deprive consumers of mandatory protections where they live or courts they may legally access. Qualifying Turkish consumer arbitration committee and consumer court routes, and applicable EU national remedies, remain available. Attempting support resolution does not restrict statutory remedies or deadlines.

Material revisions are notified appropriately before taking effect; separate acceptance is obtained where required. Earlier versions and effective dates remain accessible. An invalid provision is not automatically rewritten to reproduce the same consumer-adverse result; the remainder applies to the extent legally possible.

English is the authoritative contractual text; Turkish and other translations are provided to aid understanding. Giving the English text priority in a conflict does not reduce mandatory local-language or transparency requirements, consumer rights arising from information presented to them, or other mandatory protections. Translations maintain equivalent scope; additional translations do not change existing users’ rights.

Termination does not extinguish payment or damages claims that have already accrued. Content rights, legally valid liability limits and provisions that by their nature must operate after termination continue only to the necessary extent and for the necessary period. Not immediately enforcing a right following a breach does not permit later breaches or permanently waive that right; mandatory time limits and good-faith requirements remain applicable.

Optional withdrawal notice

To İbrahim Kasapoğlu at the email in section 1: “I give notice that I withdraw from my contract for [plan/service], ordered on [date] through [purchase channel], transaction [reference]. My name, address and account email are [details]. Notice date: [date].” Sign only if submitting on paper. Send within the applicable statutory period; do not include card details, passwords or encryption keys. This notice does not create an additional voluntary refund right.
